Deadline

The deadline for submitting the tax return.

Deadlines are normally extended upon request. Depending on the canton and type of tax, different deadlines and procedures for extending deadlines apply. In certain cases, the extension is refused or subject to a fee.

If the deadline cannot be extended and the tax return is not submitted, reminders will follow, possibly with fines, and as a last resort, discretionary assessment.
